Holy hell, ancient childhood memory unlocked. I remember the character from Toonami long ago, but could never remember the name of the show.

Have the protagonist in your next piece smoking a cigar. It'll blow PEOPLE AWAY.

So I don't know shit about Tarrot. The way you drew the cards(how many, their orientation, their names, etc) what does it mean? Did you have anything in mind, or just felt like drawing whatever? Neat pic.
Honestly this illustration was sort of an excuse for me to learn more about tarot myself. I don’t claim to be an expert but I did choose the cards deliberately. Each card has an associated meaning or something it implies, and if it’s upside down (“reversed”) it means the opposite. The card on the reader’s (fortune teller) left represents the past, middle is present, and right is future. There are more complex readings that use more cards but this is the simple/classic one as far as I know.
There would be a lot of ways to read this tarot spread depending on the person, but the basic meanings of the cards are this:
The Sun: happiness, positive outcomes (but it’s reversed, so it means the opposite)
The Tower: disaster, unwanted change
The Hermit: withdrawing, searching inside for truth
You can draw your own story from the piece, but I wanted to contrast the bright, smiling sun mask of the fortune teller with a potentially bleak tarot spread for the viewer/recipient, or maybe a suggestion to look within for clarity after disastrous life events. But are you sure this guy reading your fortune is trustworthy? Thanks for your comment!
